※ Progress may vary depending on skin type, pigment depth and thickness, the nature of the lesion, sun exposure, and lifestyle factors.

To explain it briefly,
what looks like an age spot is often not just a simple superficial blemish. In many cases, lentigines, seborrheic keratoses, and shallow brown pigmentation can appear mixed together.

So even if these lesions look like similar brown spots on the surface,
some areas may be relatively superficial,
some may have more defined borders,
and some may appear slightly thicker or look like older, more established lesions.

In that situation,
rather than treating everything the same way,
it is more realistic to first assess
the color, border, thickness, and distribution of each lesion,
then move through the process of
diagnosis → lesion-specific treatment planning → follow-up evaluation → adjustment if needed.

When looking at before-and-after photos,
it is also better not to focus only on
“Was everything removed in one session?”

Instead, it is more helpful to look at
how much the borders of the brown lesions have softened,
how much the tone difference from the surrounding skin has decreased,
and how much cleaner and more even the overall complexion appears.

With this type of pigmentation,
the course is often better judged over time rather than immediately after treatment,
because crusting and rough texture tend to settle gradually,
and tone differences often improve little by little,
so it is important to review both the intermediate course and the later outcome.

Aftercare does not need to be complicated.

For about 1 to 2 weeks,
it is better to avoid harsh home-care products such as scrubs, peeling pads, strong AHA/BHA products, and retinol,
and focus mainly on moisturization and sun protection.
That usually helps keep the recovery process more stable.

Especially with age spot– or lentigo-type pigmentation,
if sun protection becomes inconsistent after treatment,
surrounding pigment may become more noticeable again,
or the overall skin tone may not look as clean and even as expected.

※ After treatment, temporary redness, warmth, dryness, flaking, crusting, temporary darkening of pigment, or temporary tone differences may occur. Skin response and recovery speed vary from person to person, and if symptoms are severe or persist, an in-person evaluation may be needed.
